Re: Huss Rainbow in Paris

very interesting. This seems to be one very popular ride from the 3 they've quickly built in USA. I've been told it is like riding a Hurricane on steriods.

Re: What Rides Are On Your Bucket List?

I rode "Bling" at Blackpool (same as High Energy, Air). Like a lot of park flat rides, it lacked atmosphere, no music, for a ride that was only a few years old it was showing its age beside the sea. The ride was OK but nothing too memorable. Auto program with push button start and no speil...

Woman stuck on waterslide sues for $400k

A CHILDCARE worker is suing Wet 'n' Wild for $400,000 in damages after she became stuck in a waterslide. Cherie Schramm, 30, lined up to ride the newly opened Aqua Loop waterslide on January 2 last year but became stuck halfway. The Pimpama woman did not gather enough speed to complete the full loop...

Ekkafan, great first post. You have a good memory for prices. The Claw is an under-rated piece of equipment.

If you go to Gympie you won't be seeing a Zipper as it's been sold

Re: Info On Our Matterhorns

Zamperla, dunno if Garry O'Neill ever had anything to do with it? Garry O'Neill definitely had involvement in it becoming trailerised. He quite possibly oversaw the building of the whole ride. I'm sure the NoLimit poster on here can confirm. The cars are definitely Reverchon style - but don't under...

Re: Info On Our Matterhorns

Matterhorn - made by Sobema (early 70's?)
Thunderbolt - originally a park model at Grundy's Goldcoast, I think Garry O'Neill built some / all of it
Rock n Roll - made by Bertazzon

Re: What Was Your Favourite Experience From Luna Park?

Riding the Gravitron for the first time with the song 'I wanna know what love is' by Foreigner playing. (this was definitely the 80's)

I thought I was so cool being brave enough to ride it. After that I tried it for another 8-10 times that day.
