Re: Zipper

Had heard that this ride had been completely repainted black and yellow! Glad to see that it still retains the Super Hero decoration that I did for Dean Davis. If anybody knows the new owner can they please let him know that I still have the 2 brand new side triangle banners for the ride that were d...

Re: 2013 Camden Show

The ride is owned by Glen Blades and was purchased from Mark Benson from the London area and not George Brewer Jnr. I I used to do a lot of decorating work to the rides owned by the Benson family before moving to Australia. I believe that this was the last Matterhorn built by Sobema, Mark bought it ...

It is a Notts UK one,the company was started by UK showman Tommy Matthews but was known as Fairmatt which became Eurofab which became Notts UK.You can tell by the handrail design on the front of the machine,I decorated 14 of these rides for Tommy Matthews before moving to Sydney.

Re: Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme (2004)

The Waltzer in the video was owned at the time by David Irvin in London. He has now sold the ride to William Thurston Jnr, another UK showman,at this moment the ride is working in London's Hyde Park as part of the Winter Wonderland presentation where it has had a lot of temporary decorative snow the...

Re: DEAN DAVIS FERRIS WHEEL

The theme of the new banners is still X-Men/super hero type stuff which is in keeping with the rest of the artwork that I did on the ride. The old banners that I painted unfortunately kept getting packed away without being dried properly if it had rained which led to them going mouldy, the mould then...

Re: Royal Easter Show 2009

That's the thing, I heard they would be back up at RES. They must be ready surely taken a while to get them done and Mark Gill had painted them by Melbourne show last year and all they needed were the lights. I was at the showground last Tuesday and they were still putting the lights on them! When ...

The new signs for the Space Roller were collected from my workshop in Sydney today and taken to Melbourne, they still have to have the lights put in them so i doubt they will be in use at the show. The decoration was completed in time for Brisbane Show but unfortunately as the insurance company was v...
