Re: Ekka 2013
Hard Rock was sold to Verfuth's who are based in Victoria so it likely won't do QLD shows much anymore. Surprised it's not on at EKKA considering Hangover is attending. That and it could well be Durkin's wheel attending and might just be a generic picture of a wheel but who knows. IMO Dean Davis has...

Re: Ekka Work 2013
Honestly... most showies would want someone that's available every day of the show mostly for training purposes. Also, considering your only 16 you most likely would get work on a joint over a ride. If your really wanting work at EKKA I'd suggest contacting TPA Shows directly. If you want their numb...

Re: Fraser Coast Show 2013 (Maryborough)
Yeah, it really does not run as well as when they did own it. Chant's gear is always in the best condition mechanically and cosmetically. It was good when Dales first got it... but yeah it just runs like crap now, and I find it to be quite rough and jerky too.

Re: Fraser Coast Show 2013 (Maryborough)
Midnight Express and Alpine Express are the same ride, Flash Dance IMO gives a very different ride that is superior to the Matterhorns IMO (Provided it's running a decent cycle)

Re: Ekka 2013
Midi Dance Party looks quite small and low capacity really... I'd much rather see Hard Rock at EKKA over that ride...

Re: Cracker Jack Carnival 2013
I was at Crackerjack last night as well and honestly based on previous years it was crap. There was no atmosphere at all and the lineup is down from alot of years. Notable rides that were missing included, Freestyle, Super Trooper, Hurricane and Rock n Roll. Cyber Party was looking better with the n...

Re: Paniyiri Greek Festival (REVIEW AND PHOTOS ADDED)
Yes... this particular Gravitron is FAST... but according to the Wisdom website both models travel the same speed of 24RPM. I know for a fact that Dreamworld's model didn't run that fast in the later years as you barely stuck to the walls... I don't know what made it feel so much faster than say Dur...

Re: Paniyiri Greek Festival (REVIEW AND PHOTOS ADDED)
Festivals are very rarely guild ran because they are not an "official" show. It's essentially a big hire job just like a fete. And normally the Greek Festival is a week after Ipswich show but don't know why the dates clashed this year.

Re: Paniyiri Greek Festival (REVIEW AND PHOTOS ADDED)
The showmen's guild doesn't "support" this event so to speak, it's an independently ran show that is organised by Tony Marcovich (Coney Fair Amusements). They have the contract to the festival and each of the operators pay a set amount to have their rides at the festival. Based on the loca...

Re: Ipswich Show 2013
Cyber Party was most likely having some issues with the hydraulics as that would be the only reason that it wouldn't have been lifting up. It's a real shame that it wasn't doing that this year as IMO it does add to the experience. I'm all for another Matterhorn style ride travelling to replace Thund...

That would be likely where the harness unlocking computers are located if i'm not mistaken, so taking off the lighting cover would provide easier access to it.

Re: Gympie Show 2013
Space roller is looking very nice, glad the multi coloured panels at the end of the arms are gone too. I will say from watching the video of Airmaxx 360 I think I prefer the Techno Jump styles... It doesn't appear that the gondola's spin very much to add to the overall experience. The new LED's on B...

Re: Paniyiri Greek Festival (REVIEW AND PHOTOS ADDED)
It normally does a few other shows like Redcliffe and sometimes Crackerjack but yeah, you don't see it out too much. Quite a few rides often pack up on the friday night and set up early saturday morning from shows like Gympie as the greek festival is always packed each year and makes heaps of money....

Re: Paniyiri Greek Festival
Well, first of all I didn't get to take many photo's due to not feeling too well after a certain ride (which if you read on you will find out what!) SKYWALKER I've got to hand it to Luke and Chris, I didn't think that this ride could look any better than before but i've been proven wrong. The front ...

Re: Gympie Show 2013
Ah, I knew someone was looking at getting BN Smashing Jump... interesting to see that that rumor ended up becoming true, well... at least a similar ride. IMO the Smashing Jump appears to be a bit more intense than the Safeco variant, but still looks very good.
