Mixed thoughts on the new parks. Good and bad. With DW spending money on the water park, does that mean we are not going to see any new attractions (say another major roller coaster or thrill ride) for the next couple of years? When I was first notified about the water park, it was going to be a par...

Very interesting. One would have to say it was a UNIQUE ride for the riders when the fault occured. A once in a life time experience. From what I could tell, is this a one armed Kamikaze ride? If it is, lets hope the over-the-head restraints are better then our Kamikaze, which does not hold me in my...

Has everyone forgotten about the Redundancy safety on the Zipper??

It would have to be one of the safest rides.

I have been on enterprises when they squeak like all hell and thinking ohhh sh**. But I have survived all crashes. LOL

Ummm.......does Spin Dragon ring a bell with anyone (I think that is what it was called)??

I had friends up from Adelaide and took them to Dreamworld. They were a bit hesitant to board Wipeout due to that accident years ago.

Interestingly put Gibbo. I do not think anyone has put it in that perspective before. Dont know if anyone has heard but Macquarie Leisure Trust (ownders of Dreamworld and Adventure World plus other bits of land around the place) has just purchased the AMD chain of ten pin bowling centres. I know we ...

Although I did have a good day with u and Dave. Perhaps we will need a reunion this year.

This is quite a good topic gibbo. You will probably find a mixed of reactions but most people would say to have the park open all year round. I do not think our population can sustain a park to be successful and be able to survive on a limited time season. However, Adventure World seems to be surviv...

There has been rumours floating around for years about Disney coming to Oz. Quite honestly, the population in australia could not sustain a park such as Disney. I have been in discussions with people before and they mentioned the only way for a new park to survive would be for it to be built on the ...

There have been heaps of rumors in the past about Disney coming to Australia. The latest one was that they purchased the land Magic Mountain used to be on and will rebuild a theme park. One of truth is that Dolly Parton wanted to create a theme park on the Sunshine Coast, but the Gold Coast City Cou...

Jase and I have been to the Big Kart Track once a few years back. We pretty much stopped and had a look prior to going on to Australia Zoo. We never got to ride a go-kart. In addition to a couple go-kart tracks the place is also home to a Bungy Bullet. Depending on how time prevails, I will probably...

Did Merlin take it too far?

If you are wondering what this topic is about, it is in regards to Merlin's eviction on 13 June 2004. Once he began to walk down the ramp to the Eviction stage, Merlin put a piece of tape over his mouth and carried a sign which said "Free The Refugees". He then refused to speak to Gretal o...

Diamond Python

The one at Merimbula's is not the same as the Python Loop. The Diamon Python is the exact same layout as Thrillseeker which was at Seaworld. However it had additional breaks thoughout the ride slowing you down. Ones which would make you smash your knees into the front of the carriage when slowed dow...
