Great observations guys! I'm fairly sure Adelaide's carnival area is about the same size as Ekka's but some of the attractions are packed very tightly due to the creation of a kids carnival and the removal of the Mad Mouse and other small rides from the top of the building. Now we learn that coaster...

I reckon that Mega Drop is bloody scary and maybe even faster than Dream World's Giant Drop. Have I started a fierce debate here? Anyway Princess, if you can't stomach the Zipper, perhaps you could try that new Miami if it gets to Ekka or the Syber Party. I just may have to take a sicky and fl...

You must be a bright spark to be doing all those subjects. Science for Life and General English were about my speed but I did get an okay HSC score and have tried my best since then. Actually, I really enjoyed Science for Life as we got to go to Wonderland for a field trip and had to go on all the r...

At last a post worth reading. I'm thoroughly sick of being directed to porn and advertising websites. I don't suppose anything can be done to stop these spammers? :?: Anyway, glad you had a good time Hurricane; definitely a fantastic ride lineup for a festival. I absolutely must try that Syb...

This is indeed sad news as the Mad Mouse, although not the best coaster in the world has a lot of history attached to it and is always a popular attraction at the big shows. We haven't had the MM in Sydney since the accident in Melbourne back in 2003 and I know a lot of people miss it. There are onl...

Despite the Skyview Wheel's huge size, it must be fairly easy to assemble and tear down as my Grandmother who lives close to Hawkesbury Showbround told me the entire ride was packed up by Monday afternoon. I would've thought it would take at least two weeks to put up and a couple of days to take down.

I can confirm the Bathurst Show will be held on the last weekend in February next year, the same time as Canberra which will probably be a major letdown in the rides department for both shows. Also, I don't know the exact dates but the RES will be held during the school holidays as it was this year....

Yeah the sound of the rides in action and a great tune blasting out of a good music system never fail to draw me in and are major parts of the whole experience for me. I also like operator interactivity as seen on rides like Flashdance, Breakdance, No Limit and Space Roller. You know you're in for a...

Don't worry, I'm the most politically incorrect guy around. Yes I do seem to get very long rides which is great but does nothing for my stomach. I'm not sure whether it's because of my disability, I would never dream of using it to my advantage and never ask for any favours but the ride ops ar...

Hello everyone! Here is my review of the Hawkesbury Show. I was meant to go yesterday but Dad had to work so we put it off until today. Anyway, we had the most unbelievable time and I went on quite a few rides. I’m a little tired, a bit sick in the stomach from all the twisting and turning and my ba...

Hawkesbury Show 2007
Well, it's almost that time again. the Hawkesbury Show, one of the largest events in NSW starts this Friday and as usual, it's sure to be a good one with many RES ride operators backing up for this Show. I will be out there on the first day and would love to catch up with any of you if you can make ...

nor any other, thanks for the review, I sort of dont want it all to finish, now we dont have anything until Brisbane. I know. The RES seemd to go very quickly this year, probably because of the date change. Anyway, I think the RAS will be happy with how it all turned out. The carnival was exc...

No need to fly me to Redcliffe, I will not be going on Zipper anytime while I am alive. :D  I would take us up on the flight Princess, it's a free trip to Brisbane and you can just back out on the Zipper ride and go on something else like the Syber Party which I think does Redcliff or even h...

Hi! Was just browsing You Tube when I came across this awesome video of most of the carnival at the RES. I'm not too sure the picture quality is the best but the sound is excellent and you can hear most of the rides in action. Also, the fellows recording the vid are talking about what they should ri...

Great review! I maybe heading out to the Show tomorrow so will check out Flashdance and Goldmine Coaster if I do. The weather has cleared up great and they're predicting 26 or 27, makes one wish for the return of Splash Canyon! :) Has anyone been on the Power Surge yet? It looks and sounds cool and ...
