Great observations guys! I'm fairly sure Adelaide's carnival area is about the same size as Ekka's but some of the attractions are packed very tightly due to the creation of a kids carnival and the removal of the Mad Mouse and other small rides from the top of the building. Now we learn that coaster...

I reckon that Mega Drop is bloody scary and maybe even faster than Dream World's Giant Drop. Have I started a fierce debate here? Anyway Princess, if you can't stomach the Zipper, perhaps you could try that new Miami if it gets to Ekka or the Syber Party. I just may have to take a sicky and fl...

I'm guessing the coaster was TPA's Crazy Coaster. Nevertheless, a great lineup with Pavier's featuring heavily again. They do a lot of work in QLD no doubt about that!

You must be a bright spark to be doing all those subjects. Science for Life and General English were about my speed but I did get an okay HSC score and have tried my best since then. Actually, I really enjoyed Science for Life as we got to go to Wonderland for a field trip and had to go on all the r...

I sure won't be thinking about this incident next time I ride the Enterprise. I hope no one deliberately started that fire, only a very twisted person would think that was a good idea. I guess it takes all types to make a world.

At last a post worth reading. I'm thoroughly sick of being directed to porn and advertising websites. I don't suppose anything can be done to stop these spammers? :?: Anyway, glad you had a good time Hurricane; definitely a fantastic ride lineup for a festival. I absolutely must try that Syb...

Not a bad ride lineup. I wonder whether the big wheel is the new Skyview?

Is anyone going? If so, I'd love a review!

MM was a good ride, not unlike Durkin's Claw. As far as I know, there are two Mega Mixes travelling Oz, one that does the East Coast and another in Perth. There maybe more but I don't know for sure.

What an excellent freak show it was too! I know some people were shocked and walked out while it was on but most people really enjoyed it and it sure sounded like the actors had a lot of fun putting it together. I think you'll see the freak shows touring again, at least for the major capital shows.

The Mexican Whip at Manly Pier was excellent, as was the Spider at Australia's Wonderland. I am not sure whether there would be a market for an amusement park containing all the old rides but I know I would visit it often.

This is indeed sad news as the Mad Mouse, although not the best coaster in the world has a lot of history attached to it and is always a popular attraction at the big shows. We haven't had the MM in Sydney since the accident in Melbourne back in 2003 and I know a lot of people miss it. There are onl...

Despite the Skyview Wheel's huge size, it must be fairly easy to assemble and tear down as my Grandmother who lives close to Hawkesbury Showbround told me the entire ride was packed up by Monday afternoon. I would've thought it would take at least two weeks to put up and a couple of days to take down.

Yes I have heard the jetboats are a lot of fun but I'm yet to give it a go. Each time I've been in the area it has been too cold or too late or some other reason but I'll try it soon I'm sure. It sounds quite thrilling, judging by the screams from the boats as they speed by.

Very funny story about the food stand in Canada! I can see how that happened as all my Rainbow experiences have included a draft coming from it. Apart from the sound of it, the wind is usually how I can tell I am standing close to it. Extreme Speed also generates this draft.

I can confirm the Bathurst Show will be held on the last weekend in February next year, the same time as Canberra which will probably be a major letdown in the rides department for both shows. Also, I don't know the exact dates but the RES will be held during the school holidays as it was this year....

Yeah the sound of the rides in action and a great tune blasting out of a good music system never fail to draw me in and are major parts of the whole experience for me. I also like operator interactivity as seen on rides like Flashdance, Breakdance, No Limit and Space Roller. You know you're in for a...

Hello everyone! Here is my review of the Hawkesbury Show. I was meant to go yesterday but Dad had to work so we put it off until today. Anyway, we had the most unbelievable time and I went on quite a few rides. I’m a little tired, a bit sick in the stomach from all the twisting and turning and my ba...

Hawkesbury Show 2007

Well, it's almost that time again. the Hawkesbury Show, one of the largest events in NSW starts this Friday and as usual, it's sure to be a good one with many RES ride operators backing up for this Show. I will be out there on the first day and would love to catch up with any of you if you can make ...

Good on you Princess! I won't be heading back to the RES before it ends on Wednesday either, a real shame as I'd like to be part of the Kids Day where you can get free carnival rides if a friend pays. Oh well, can't have too much of a good thing I suppose. :(

Sounds great! Is it known when the park will open? I guess it will take at least a year, maybe longer. I wonder whether they'll call it Wet-N-Wild? Something like Sunshine Water World might go better to avoid confusion. Keep us updated if you can Matty.
