That's a pretty poor line up for Geelong. I doubt I will even go now. It seems with each show, they get worse, or there is only one good ride, in this case the Zipper. The rest I can take or leave easily.

This looks a pretty sad excuse for a Royal Show carnival...never though RMS would come to this. NOTHING great at all this year.

NL is really a hit and miss. I only ride when I see the operator is locking the gondola upside down when swooping through the station. That doesn't seem to happen much though. XXXL looks fairly tame. Funny you mention this. It kind of made me think that one of the things I like most about rides is the different 'tubs' and 'cars' we find ourselves hopping into. I dunno maybe I am a weird ride nerd but it seems a big part of the ride experience to me....haha, ahhhh how I just like those few minute...

I'd like to believe Tornado is the new name for the Super Loops we should all be seeing around the traps soon... I doubt it though since the Tornado name really does not work at all for a Super Loops ride.

Zipper on the roof was the BEST EVER! does anyone have map showing the 3 areas and how big they are, I couldn't see one on the website.

I have never been to EKKA, sadly. I think I have missed the best years from what I can tell, like with most capital shows. I will have to wait until September for my go on the new KMG ride... I can't wait for it!

I wonder if the design of the restraints would need to be changed for this to be safe? I know the current restraint design would probably still be safe work, but I can't imagine being held upsidedown with those restraints for some reason. The design works well and allows the rider to float a little ...

wow. All I can say is that this puts most so called capital shows to shame, it's really turning out to be a very nice line up. Good mix of new and older rides. I bet the atmosphere there would be just great.

Bring on Rye 2009/10...it sure will be a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see the big loop all lit up again. Who knows, might even get down there this year to see it all being set up. Good times.
