Well they have started to dismantle the car ride near the giant drop. Also I've heard that the intamin version will have a small side car on it for kids or something, if this is true I guess we can't expect anything to thrilling!...and also I believe the track has arrived outside sitting in the parking lot...I'm not sure though, these are all just rumors I've heard besides about the car ride

When I was on the claw last week I was looking around when we were swinging and i saw some empty land. And some tracks (I think.. it's hard to see things specificly when you're swinging lol)

Ground work has started on the ride. I was at the park a week ago and got some photos which I am still yet to post.

The Avis Antique Cars have been completely torn down and removed. This is where the new attraction will be located. I will get round to posting some of the photos in the near future.

Great looking forward to them Mattie! These will be the first photos on the net of the construction work. AAF posted some great pics of construction during WWW so it'll be good to see some of the same for this new coaster

Coool.
I haven't been to Dreamworld in so long.
Are they completely removing the Avis Cars or re-locating them?

Supposebly they have only been removed temporarily. So dont know if they will weave their way around the new attraction or be relocated elsewhere in the park.

Okay guys, I took a trip out to Dreamworld yesterday Sunday 27 May 07 and took some new construction pics.

The majority of the concrete pillars are in. Looks like there will be some type of helix near the Giant Drop end of the coaster. No sign of track parts yet, but land has been cleared to temporarily house them once they arrive.

Whilst we were working on updating the site, we accidnetly deleted the old construction photos, however, I have reattached them to this new page.

I hope it is.

Hey guys, I headed out to Dreamworld last Sunday to get a construction update.

The park was pretty busy, then again, it was school holidays. The rides were not doing too well though. Stingray was closed, the Rapids ride was closed, the Train was closed and the Tower of Terror was experiencing difficulties and was opening and closing all day.

The Avis Vintage cars have been re-instated behind the Wildlife Park. It looks good where its located, but I dont think many people knew it was there as it was hidden away. They have built a bridge over the lagoon behind the Log Ride, which you need to cross to get the Vintage cars. Is this just the beginning for the park expanding out to new land?

Track has started to be erected for the new coaster. I took a number of photos to keep you guys updated. They can be found at http://www.australianamusementfanatics. ... n_2007.htm
