Luna Park holiday rides 2010

Post by Jobius »

Hi all!! It's getting close to that time of year when LPS announces their ride lineup for the Xmas holidays!! As of yet nothing has been posted on the website so I am asking does anyone have any idea of what will be appearing?? I am hoping for an extended ride lineup this year , as it is the 75th anniversary of LPS opening. I am hoping for some rides that haven't appeared at LPS before such as Crazy Coaster or even Rainbow!! ( that would be most ironic since Rainbow was supposed to go to LPS in the '95 incarnation!). Most probably the flume ride will appear again this year , which is good, but I am hoping for at least 3 or 4 extra rides to make an appearance!! Let's hope they utilize the space next to Tumblebug this year!!
Cheers

Well, I could honestly say that Rainbow would make a good addition to LPS. Finally, I can be able to post something mentioning Rainbow without having the ride's name being changed to Ali Baba after I submit the post. :D

yet another person addicted to the rainbow? I know it's a great ride and all... but I seriously doubt that Rainbow would ever be seen on the soil of Luna Park. If it's as noisy as the ranger the residents would chuck yet another stink which i'm sure that Luna Park don't want. Plus why would they need to spend money when they can still technically say they have a new ride for the christmas holidays and that is March's Wave Swinger.

Joyland's recently imported the Disko and has been at the yard for a few weeks now. This will be the rides debut at the park over the summer holidays. And yeh Rockin' Tug is down at Luna Park Melb for around a month or two

Disk-O should do well. It's a surprisingly fun and reasonably intense to ride.

I agree wholeheartedly Zamperla...the Disk'O' is a ride that has long been overdue on Australian shores!!I wish it had been a Disk'O' Coaster but I will gladly take it!! Thanks for the info guys, I was beginning to think that LPS were not going to add anything to their line up for this seasonal period!! Now if only they could add something more permanent!!!

Cheers

yeh my bad it is Doyle Gill's. Dunno what the go is but Joyland's I'm pretty sure are operating the ride and must have some share in the investment, not 100% sure
