hi everyone hello from sunny scotland anyway ive uploaded a video on to you tube called gaff lads. its a documentary on the life of a gaff lad travelling with the fair in the u.k.
ive had break up the video in to clips first 3 now on and will have the last clip uploaded tomorrow.

wow - an eye opener. I'm guessing the age of that doco would be around 1994? (from the music)

there is no way you'd find the staff to travel rides like that now days in Australia - ground-mount dodgem floors like that are almost a thing of the past now. If anything, the doco makes you realise the physical stamina required to set up rides and tear them down. (especially traditional UK rides like a Waltzer)

Did that guy find out he was a father when one of the girls walked by with a pram that he 'met' the season before? (he didn't seem too worried!) - typical happy-go-lucky outlook on life you'd expect from a gaff-lad!

yeah he found out the kid was his lol the documentary was a good insight on not just the showmen but on how they really do rely on the gaff lads, and if not for the gaff lads they would not have a business.
