Tamworth Family Carnival

Post by Hardrock »

With no showground in Tamworth due to it being sold recently, a family carnival is being held from
23rd March till 26th March on Tamworth's Bicential park where the country music carnival is held.
Operating times are Wednesday -Thursday 6:30-11, Friday 5-11:30, Saturday 2-11:30.
Rides listed to attend are
Hardrock
Skywalker
Sea Circus
Ghost Pirates
Ali Baba
Kamikaze
Flashdance
Big Whizzer
Tilt a whirl
Dodgems
Plus kids rides and showbags.
Should be a good carnival with the quality of rides attending.
Will get some happy snaps and put them up.

Good lineup, good to see the Showmen are supporting the town in loseing their show. Look forward to seeing some pics.
Islander, OFA could only dream of owning quality machines like those listed...

Interesting about the sale of the Showground! Are there plans for another one?

Yes a good lineup although definitely not as good as some past Tamworth Shows. All the same, good on the Guild for continuing to stop off there!

Tamworth council built a new showground a few years back named Australian Equine livestock Centre. Unfortuately at the time they didnt
built a carnival area, but left an area for on to be built. Its up to the show society to bulit one there.
The show society needed the old show ground to sell first before they could build another one.
Lucky in the past couple of months developers snaped the show ground up. So heres hope
that maybe next year a full size show will return. For now we will have to put up with the carnival area
thats used for country music. Its not a big area but it makes a good little carnival.
