This weekend the Showmen's Guild is returning to the Newcastle Show after year's of being contracted to OFA Showstar/Durkin's/Independents. Ofcourse they are going in with a bang with quite an impressive line-up of gear which I know at the moment will include:

Pirate's Revenge
Crazy Coaster
Mega Drop
Power Surge
Sky Walker
Body Rock
Dark Ride
Extreme
Fun Slide

That's what I know of at the moment but will update any others. I'll be up their working the weekend hopefully the weather holds out unlike the weekend just past...

Cheers

It's got me confused as to why a show society would contract their show to anyone else but the guild. Unless they are wanting to hold it out of circuit/season.

Weather pretty shocking at the moment but is set to improve somewhat over the weekend. I also understand Goldenway and Pavier's gear is there too?

Pretty good lineup TG. Not as big as before OFA took over. I rememeber it being a full sideshow alley.
Still be a good thing for the show having the guild back. OFA's shows just didn't have
Atmosphere that the guild have.

Definately alot better, just a big shame with the weather. No one opened friday, saturday from what I know rides were open in the afternoon but don't think it was too busy. I didn't end up going up...
OFA just don't compare with a sideshow alley set-up compared to what the Guild can pull off, even the line-up of rides they have is just poor really

You end up going HardRock?

No didn't end up going Tg. Be a first in bout maybe 20 years mainly due too
the weather. Got one of my castles on at Tamworth show next weekend,
been to busy getting things ready for that too.
