Bit harsh HUSS

I think it looks pretty good (except for the choice of green)

keep the designs coming!

Maybe Mattie can limit it down to a final selection and we can have a vote.

Well, i think all the designs so far have looked really good.
Just one thing i'd like to see is the web address incorporated into it.
i.e. www.australianamusementfanatics.com
A bit of promotion/advertising for the site??
Carny's built this country, the carnival part of it anyway..."Homer Simpson"

While I appreciate that logo design is a very difficult process without a creative brief to begin with, the second one stinks

I think the amusement aspect of the logo needs to me more metaphorical or a more classical ride/attraction.
Well What I really mean to say is, I don't like the Australian Map, used in that way. I think it looks naff and tacky.

But everyone can have their opinions, YAY for free speech.

Keep the designs and ideas coming guys. I like Vee's idea of an old classical ride. Superloop - Turbo is deffinitely in that ball park.

One thing to keep in mind, depending on what is used to put the logo on shirts (embroided, screen printed, iron-on), if you use images that are very detailed, it could get pretty messy and expensive. My preference is to embroid the logo as it looks more professional.

Another thing, if we are to use a map of Australia in the logo (which is my preference), we shouldnt include the souther cross. One aussie icon is enough. I like the retro version of the Australian map with straight lines versus the proper contours - but could be persuaded to change if a good concept comes up.

Items to consider:
- Coloured logo - not black and white
- Mixture of travelling and theme park rides
- If you are to include a map of Australia - lets keep it green as this is already recognised by people and a distict part of the AAF logo (unless my old logo is really tacky and no one has told me)
- The background colour of shirts will be white

Whoever comes up with the design we use, will get a free shirt. Not much, I know, but at least it is something I can give you back.

Huss, I like your idea about a ride burstsing out of the land...a bit too much for a standard shirt, but if we can ever organise a meet where we have a large gathering of AAF'ers it would be good to have a different shirt for that occasion.

Once we get this sorted, next project, 2010 AAF Calendar...Ohh and me pulling out my finger and getting the site back up...
