There's nothing Mickey Mouse about Cedar Point, Ohio (U.S.). But let's face it, you don't get to be voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" for 10 years straight by Amusement Today magazine with nothing but a Fun House and a dog called Goofy up your sleeve. No, you do it by concentrating on the important things in life, such as accelerating your paying unsuspecting guests to 120 mph (190kmh) in four seconds along a vertical axis before sending the poor suckers vertically upwards to a height of 420 feet (140mts) with a 270 degree twist, and then sending them back down to earth with another twist and decelerating to a complete standstill- all in 18 seconds flat! Simple, really. Check out the photos and see what a real Coaster should look like. ### Check out the last pic, it really says it all.###
Enjoy..........Deefa.

Theres also Kingda Ka @ Six Flags Great Adventure which is even taller and faster again..
Kingda Ka = 0 - 128 mph in 3.5 seconds, 456 foot tall.
Ive been on Xcelerator at Knotts Berry Farm, California which is a baby compared to these two haha. And got my 50 year old mum on it too.. *Hint hint princess*

I am going to have to lift my reputation, I did not ride Mega Drop, cause I had no one to go on with, or to goad me, next year, we will be a bit more brave at RES and maybe have a proper meet, Ben will be back then too.

Re: Best Amusement Park in the World.
I saw a show a while ago on Discovery Channel on the building of Kingda Ka at Six Flags. It was erected by a company that only builds Roller Coasters and they were really pushing it to finish it in time for the grand opening due to all types of delays, mainly bad weather which made the ground too boggy to get cranes in to piece everything together. It was a fascinating show which covered all stages from the computer design and virtual animation right up to the test run and first general public ride.
