Are our rides towed in pairs?

Post by Dazzleland »

Although I've seen a few rides with Ringfeder hitches at the rear, are our rides towed in pairs, by means of a converter dolly as in a road train?
For example, in the USA, there is a single axle dolly in the middle of this pair:

Sometimes, it's depends if it's worth it over the distance and any restrictions (i.e. you can't road train through suburban areas)

Here is Bell's Huricane and the Crazy Raft being towed by the Ako. Also the Music Trip and the Cha Cha behind the Volvo. Both outside Darwin Showground about to head to Mt Isa. Both using single axle dollies. We do this for the Territory Run. Mt Isa, NT loop. Can't find the picture of the Thunder Bolt set up like this at the moment, will post if I find it soon.

Cheers for the photos Limit, looks great. You guys don't do the same with the No Limit on the Territory run or isn't the rig capable to haul the load of both the trailers its carried on?

Here's a 1980 Haulmark single axle converter used between Thunder Bolt's main & auxiliary trailer.
