Re: Info On Our Matterhorns
The Limit, thanks for the info! I didn't think that the Thunderbolt was around then, I thought it would've been the late 90's or very early 00's.

Re: Info On Our Matterhorns
My first Matterhorn experience was in 2002 at the Rye 2002/3 Carnival. 2 primary school mates and myself crammed ourselves into one of the cars and some how we managed to fit (back then I was a tubby kid) and we experienced the first half of the cycle and then they stopped it for about 2-5 minutes. ...

It's fun doing it handz up!!!Top Gunner14 wrote:But that's one part of the thrill of it though, standing up and being held in just around your waist and shoulders. Re: Info On Our Matterhorns
Zamperla, dunno if Garry O'Neill ever had anything to do with it? Garry O'Neill definitely had involvement in it becoming trailerised. He quite possibly oversaw the building of the whole ride. I'm sure the NoLimit poster on here can confirm. The cars are definitely Reverchon style - but don't under...

Re: Wittingslow's Rides Squash at Lygon Street on Argyle Squ
What did the Pirate look like originally? The earliest memories I have of it was the supports painted white with the captain on the top and the sign attached. This was at Rosebud in 1999. Well what they've done to it now just makes wanna...must refrain from losing it...breathe...any photos of the Pi...

Re: Info On Our Matterhorns
Matterhorn was a clear winner overall.... It's a crime that Wittingslow let that thing go! Aaaah...memories. I miss the Matterhorn because it was violent and that's how ALL Matterhorn-type rides should be! I love Rock & Roll, but the only things I will criticize on are that the cars don't rock ...

Re: Info On Our Matterhorns
Funny you should say that, when I was at RES, I was thinking that Rock n roll was going super fast, my thought was it was faster than any other of these similar rides, so now you have said that my own opinion is hell yeah Have you ridden it though. I think it's FREAKING INSANE!!!!! Apparently it do...

Re: Info On Our Matterhorns
Dreamworld's one is just pathetic!!!! Does the Matterhorn still do some small shows or has it retired? Also is Rock & Roll actually the "Fastest Matterhorn-type ride in Australia"? Also which is you're favourite Matterhorn?

Welcome Extreme Fanatic! That review was great. How awesome is Extreme! Man I could ride that baby all day if it were possible  I didn't know that Australia had a Rock n Roll (head over heals) Also what's Speed/Freestyle like? Is it worth paying $20 or should I wait until it's @ $15 (which rare...

Re: Wittingslow's Rides Squash at Lygon Street on Argyle Squ
are we talking about PIRATE? We most certainly are! What did you think of my cosmetic ideas for the Pirate? If you're wondering why I miss loving the Pirate. It's because whenever I ride it I get sick (I haven't chucked yet  ) I still have a hell of a lot of respect for the old girl, but the t...

What Rides Would You Have?
I would firstly demolish every ride except for the historic rides and the HUSS Enterprise. Then I would have a HUSS Pirate, HUSS Rainbow, HUSS Ranger, Chance Zipper, Chance Turbo, Zamperla Mixer, KMG Speed (Spiderman Theme), Mad Mouse, KMG Inversion and a Fabbri Mega Drop 40m.

Re: Wittingslow's Rides Squash at Lygon Street on Argyle Squ
if they got pirate fixed up (cosmetically) it would dominate the major shows I've got a few ideas for the sign. 1. Create a treasure map with an 'x' on it with lights working accordingly. 2. Update the original (and best) sign by putting in multi-coloured led's so then they can work in sequence. Th...

Re: Wittingslow's Rides Squash at Lygon Street on Argyle Squ
It would be nice if Wittingslow did get some MAJOR RIDES!!! It'd be nice if they got a KMG Experience or Discovery, a Inversion would be nice...but no dice  ...but we already have a KMG Inversion? I know that we alreay have a KMG Inversion! I'm talking Wittingslow getting one. I had a little c...

What Was Your Favourite Experience From Luna Park?
I had my first rollercoaster experience when I rode The Dragon (Silly Serpant's previous name) which was pretty rough. I was about 8 when I rode it. Honestly back then they should've called it "Ghetto Park" if you remember what the park looked like back in the late 90's. Also I had my firs...
