I think it is somewhere on one of Zamperla's posts but since the incident at the Melbourne show a few years ago, Wittingslow haven't operated it as the safety people said they could only have one car on the track at a time - which unfortunately made the ride unprofitable. Does anyone know - does Wit...

The End of an Era
Well officially the Mad Mouse is no more. The signage was removed mid last week and the last parts of the support were removed yesterday - RIP Mad Mouse 44 years young! LOL! And a month after the show we still have half a skymaster wheel! They have removed the tops off all the carriages about like 4...

Maintenance
Just wondering if anyone knew what sort of qualifications/experience you need to be a show ride engineer -- i.e the guy that maintains, signs off on safety etc?? Does these guys work for the amusement companies or are independent?? There is a reason I'm sorta asking this but I can't really say too m...

On the news last night it was reported that crowds have been well down on what was expected which they are putting down to the horse flu keeping away the horses exhibitors and enthusiasts (i know I haven't spelt this right!). However the spoke to the carnival operators who have said it has been one ...

I may be wrong but I always thought Top Spin, Space Loop and the Spin Dragon were all the one ride just a with a different paint job! So that would explain why Perth no longer sees Top Spin!. These three rides were the same thing, they never appeared together and they were always part of Wittingslow...

I went last Saturday which was perfect weather (if anything it may have been a bit too hot considering the time of year and all the walking one does at the show lol) but I wouldn't say the weather has actually been that bad for the show - the forecasts have been a bit iffy but most days have been re...

Adelaide Show 07
Huss No Limit did not appear at the Adelaide Show last year either. I would assume this is due to space and power requirements there really is no where to put it! Thunderbolt has only appeared for the last 2 years. Many other rides often don't come to Adelaide eg Energy Storm and Chaos only comes ev...

Yes it is a shame. Particulary for the equestrian events which were going to be at the show for the first time in 13 years (and my god they have made a big deal of this in the program - released the day after the horses were called off). On more related news, Bob Lawrence was quoted in the paper as ...

I'm sure the show people are wondering if they are ever going to have another show that is going to run smoothly! Lets hope that they do a much better job at filling time than they did last year now the horse events are cancelled. Last year when the cannonball lady had her accident the audience saw ...

It is interesting to note that they only want $150000 for the mad mouse. It currently has about 40,000 riders per year just at the Adelaide show and at $7.50 each that is $300000. Obviously insurance has to be paid, ground fees, workers etc etc etc,, however over a number of years it could be quite ...
