Re: Another Rainbow Removed
No matter what theme A.R.M. puts on the Ali Baba, whether its Rainbow or whatever, it's still won't make any difference. It will still be a mediocre ride at its best. I know I said it's not a bad ride on a few posts, but it's a disappointment in comparison to the Huss Rainbow.

Re: Another Rainbow Removed
They must have! Why else would the scarce number of Rainbows still be operating. I've seen recent onride and offride videos of Huss Rainbows from a couple of parks - Antibesland and Linnamaki, so they must have had their Rainbows touched up by Huss since the incident. If they have spare parts for Ra...

Re: Another Rainbow Removed
Ha! So the electrocution was caused by an A.R.M. Rainbow themed Ali Baba! Looks like A.R.M. rides aren't as safe as anyone thought after all! The Huss Rainbow won't and shalln't disappear. That won't make any sense. Nothing against the Ali Baba. Like I said, it's an okay ride, but I prefer Huss ride...

Re: Another Rainbow Removed
Why don't Heide Park just sell their Rainbow to anothe park or show organiser? Has Huss really decided to pull the plug on the Rainbow after all those chain of events - first the incident at Liseburg, and then the electrocution caused by another Rainbow? What is the world coming to? There's still so...

Re: 2011 Sydney Royal Easter Show
I'd still go to the RES even if the selection of rides suck nowadays, cause there's at least some good rides among the majority of the crappy single-trailer rides that plagued our shows. I'm surprised nobody takes into consideration the KMG and Mondial rides that appear in the shows, and they look p...

Speaking of the RES, at least there's XXXL, Extreme Speed, and Space Roller. Can't wait to try 'em out!

Re: 2011 Sydney Royal Easter Show
Heheh, you're right that post looked just like the 2010's RES post. I only hope there would be a last-minute change just like 2009, cause I remember the Rainbow was going to make an appearance at the 2009 RES before the seemlngly permanent change that most of us disliked. Nobody said anything about ...

Re: Let's do something to bring back Rainbow
I can hardly tell what is the actual truth. I mean, I'm hearing different stories from other people and members that OCS hasn't fully completed their touchups on Rainbow, or that they've decided to do away with it after that incident in Sweden, or that they're not going to have it running on showgro...

Re: Let's do something to bring back Rainbow
Well, at least we could see that it's not the fault of another ride for the absence of another, but more the fault of the amusement ride owners who don't seem to care about amusements and thrills anymore that caused the problem. If only those fat cats know what the hardcore riders are missing.

Re: Let's do something to bring back Rainbow
Yep, bad move of OCS, but I guess they're just in it for the money, and not for providing the best thrills for all riders.
You forgot Watkins and Goldenways when you mentioned sending the Rainbow to another amusement owner.

Re: Let's do something to bring back Rainbow
I doubt that OCS really cares about offering the best thrills for us riders. If they have, they would have done touchups on the Rainbow, which I find really funny because they did go through the trouble of fixing up rides like the FEAR tower coaster when it broke down, and I think their Kamikaze Ran...

Re: Let's do something to bring back Rainbow
Well, I did mention the incident at Sweden 2008, so I know it had something to do with our Rainbow being suspended, but I really feel that the suspension should not be permanent.
You can't even compare Ali Baba to the Rainbow.
I only hope they will finally realise how much many of us miss that ride.

Let's do something to bring back Rainbow
I think the main reason and problem why our Rainbow isn't showing up is because more people are preferring the Ali Baba over Rainbow just because it's "safer". Well, I think it's time that we do something to bring back our favourite ride. I'm not good at creating tactics, but here's some t...

Re: Rainbow For Sale
I don't believe it. The ride lineup is going to be the same as 2010's. No new rides. I really hope they might make some last minute changes like what happened in 2009, you know, replacing Rainbow for Ali Baba. I would like to see it the other way around, though. At least thankfully, we don't have to...

Re: Rainbow For Sale
Well, if OCS isn't going to have anymore use for their rides, then why the hell don't they just sell them to another amusement company who would really pay attention to the rides that they have. I want to see some good rides in our shows, not horrible butchered nightmares. At least they have the cou...

Re: Rainbow For Sale
Damn, I can't read anymore of this. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD!!!
Now us Australian Rainbow fans would have to go overseas to places where they're running their Rainbows!
Someone need to stage a rally to bring back the OCS Rainbow ASAP!

Re: Rainbow For Sale
(shakes head) You'd think they'd give Rainbow a chance to head back to the showgrounds. They should give another ride a try instead of Ali Baba. It's alright for an alternative, but I really consider it a waste of space. Maybe the organisers should bring in a ride that hasn't been on the RES for awh...

Re: chaos ride
Ah yes, the Chance Chaos ride. I would really like to see it in the showgrounds again. Didn't know there was one owned by Watkins. I only know that there's one owned by Durkin, but it hadn't appeared the last couple of Easter Shows along with their Tivoli's Move It (dunno if it's Tivoli or KMG). Goo...

Re: New KMG ride
I would say the opposite effect of a kick in the back would be more like a punch in the stomach. Better to go on this ride before eating in that case.

Re: Christmas Carnivals 2010/11
I meant thrill intensity. Since the Rainbow dishes out substantial weightlessness, smooth airtime and the feeling of free-flying, the rides I mentioned were said to have that. Got that from a comment on the Rainbow at Amusement Ride Extravaganza, though they mentioned a different ride instead of the...

Re: Christmas Carnivals 2010/11
Well, Rainbow or no Rainbow I would still go. Besides, I heard that Space Roller, and the two KMG rides Speed and XXXL does give that similar feel the Rainbow has, even if they're not exactly the same.

Re: New KMG ride
KMG's constructing a new ride? Cool. I would really like to see one come to Australia sometime in late 2011 or early 2012. Would make a great addition to the Australian showgrounds. In my opinion, KMG, Huss, and Mondial make the best rides, ground and aerial.

Re: Rainbow For Sale
The only problem is that so many people think that the Ali Baba is much better than Rainbow just because it never broke down. Honesty, the Ali Baba is a boring ride, either from watching it or riding it. Either way to me, it's a stinker. Sorry if I didn't get my info on the Rainbow right when compar...
