Re: Ekka 2012 - Count Down Begins
First night at the EKKA everything closes at 6pm... as it's often a very quiet night. Will be heading in next Friday with Kate so will give my review then. Sorry if i've been inactive... busy work life these days, but I do read still.

Re: Water coaster bound for Australia in 2013
Wet n Wild Gold Coast are planning to demolish Bermuda Triangle? BASTARDS!!! I definately won't be going to their park then! Do you think it's possible that Wet n Wild Sydney might be getting the Water Coaster? Probably won't. Who knows where the ride's going, but who cares. We're finally getting a...

Re: Brisbane Shows
Gatton's line up normally isn't too big. If I recall from 2008 the majors were Shockwave, Zipper, Music Trip, Hurricane and Cha Cha with a few smaller rides and dodgems.

Re: Ekka 2012 - Count Down Begins
No Cyber Party will be at Noth Lakes Fun Fair during Ekka Really? That's a surprise... I would have thought they would have taken it to Browns Plains Carnival as thats where the Trooper, Roller Derby and the rest of their gear used to go. I know they wouldn't go back to EKKA due to ground space bei...

Surprised that the RNA is actually going to release a full ride list. Would love to see Insanity or No Limit come back onto the grounds... I'd also like to see Cyber Party but I am dreaming with that one (But it will be at Browns Plains which is about 10 mins from my house =D)

Re: What Rides Do You Hate?
Yeah, Techno isn't really good for people that are really tall. I didn't mind the actual ride, just came off hurting alot... same as the Ex. Durkin's Claw. The OTSR's really hurt my shoulders as they were hard as rock. And if I want to bounce alot, I'll go for the king of bouncy bouncy and that's th...

Just remember that Pavier Amusements is different to Goldenway Amusements... they are the same family, but different companies. Goldenway is Boderick Pavier and the other is Brenton Pavier if i'm correct.

Re: Woman stuck on waterslide sues for $400k
There are lots of variables... weight, height, water pressure even the board shorts you are wearing... They weigh EVERY guest before riding and if you are not between 45kg and 120kg you don't ride. The park has been tinkering with many things such as no rash tops allowed to making everyone wear a ra...

Re: Fraser Coast Show 2012 (Maryborough)
If the rest of the ride is operating fine, then I don't see the issue in them running it. As long as they were not putting riders on the arm that was not working, especially if it's something so simple as the chain breaking which can't be fixed while in operation. Would be stupid to lose all the mon...

Can I just say that Midnight Madness is looking so much better lately. Even the Gel's down the bottom of the deck have been done up to look better. I still don't like the huge panels on the lower arm but you can't win them all

I can't comment too much on the situation due to my work contract... but there ARE signs posted at the bottom of the slide and the top stating WHAT to do in the event you don't make it around... not to mention they have a COMMUNICATION SYSTEM in place so the attendants at the top of the slide can ta...

As far as I am aware Alpine Express is also a Sobema model, and from what I have heard it has a rather interesting way of running if I am not mistaken. Well I did have company and it was a beautiful day. :D That day on Hard Rock was amazing, we need to do it again! As far as rides that I don't like... I wasn't a huge fan of Chaos or Claw (Durkins) as the harnesses hurt my shoulders alot. I'm also not a fan of Techno Jump either as it hurts my legs...
