I know, I was a bit disappointed at the stats of the ride (namely the height) but at least it has a decent speed...

Also remember the ride is meant to sort of simulate a motorbike ride... So far from the footer layout, we can expect lots of high speed turns, so what it lacks in height I think it will make up with all the high speed turns. I have a feeling the ride will be a family ride on the verge of a thrill ride.

Hey guys, I took another trip out to Dreamworld this week to get a construction update. 98% of the track has been erected with only some parts of the loading station still yet to me completed.

While the track is not very high, there are a lot of banked curves which will deffinitely add to the coaster's thrill aspect. Construction crews were running around building the loading station, tightening bolts and working on the launch system. There was no train in site, but I believe we will see one in the next week or two as everything almost looks ready to go.

Some construction pics can be found at http://www.australianamusementfanatics. ... n_2007.htm

I'm interested to know what sort of restraint system this ride uses. Surely it's not exactly like a regular motorcycle with handlebars only to hold onto. Doing tight turns at 70 KPH could be a bit dangerous for people not used to riding motorbikes.

I wouldn't mind giving this ride a go; it sounds fairly original if nothing else.

I thought that u sit on the bike like a racing bike and then a restrain comes over ur back to hold u in place. It'll b interesting to see what the restarins are.

Cheers

You are seated in the motocycle position, and a black bar from behind comes towards your back to hold you in.

There are some photos from the media launch that I took here.

http://australianthemeparknews.com/Gall ... index.html

It has some pics of the harness system.

And sorry if I havn't been around much, I was in Melbourne for a funeral.

^

It's a pity the ride was a total letdown, The initial launch, and maybe the first 3 turns are good, but then the ride slows right down :(

Maybe a 6/10 at the max.

Theres some decent video footage of the Media Launch on YouTube,

If you look closely in the video, in the 3rd row, you can see me (Blonde Hair)

The video is about 3 and a half minutes long.
