Water Park for Sunshine Coast

Post by princess »

I have just heard that development has been approved for a Water Park on the Sunshine Coast, from what I can gather one of the people behind this was involved in Wet 'n' Wild, the Sunshine Coast could well do with a water park.

Agreed Princess. The Sunshine Coast is fast becoming a very popular destination for sun lovers and it is in need of some more tourist attractions. Also, this park won't be in direct competition with Aussie World as it sounds more waterslide based. The two parks working together will definitely increase visitor numbers to the Coast I reckon.

Is this racecourse we are talking about Big Kart Track, or another race course?

Sounds great! Is it known when the park will open? I guess it will take at least a year, maybe longer. I wonder whether they'll call it Wet-N-Wild? Something like Sunshine Water World might go better to avoid confusion. Keep us updated if you can Matty.
