Forum Improvement Requests

  • Can we please have the guest account disabled - it's used 99% of the time for spam.
  • Can we please have the angsty-teen colour scheme improved?
If you need help with either, just ask - this is the stuff I do for a living :D

Well... at least all the spam is in the one thread... not randomly showing up in odd places. But yeah, the spamming is a bit irritating, While a improved color scheme would be nice. It's fine for now, so I'd just mainly focus on getting the main site finished :)

Yeah the spam situation is something Matty and I are well aware of (if you saw the amount of spam we have to continually delete, you'd realise what you view is only the tip of the iceberg) the guest account situation is being investigated.

As for the colours, I personally have no problem with the current colour scheme, comes down to personal preference - like asking what colour car you prefer.

Yep I love the Forums the way they are except for the spam of course. The pages load quickly, the smilies are well labelled and the topics are well defined; far better than so many other message boards out there!

Not to mention Ben, how long it took you to get this format to work after it was changed the first time.

 Yeah you're right although some of that time I was in PNG where the Internet speed makes our dialup look like broadband. There are lots of computer rage problems up there! :)

Pleased to say the Spam situation should hopefully be dead. (fingers crossed)

The guest account was always disabled but it was getting through another way.
