Post by Josh in Rocky »

Hey guys,
So who's going?
Is there a particular time or day which is the pic of the times to go?
Yes, I'm making the trek this year! yay...

We'll look forward to your reviews; you should have a good time up there!

I don't think I'll make it up there but am aiming to get down to Adelaide in early September and will check out the Royal Show if I do.

I hope you get some takers Josh, it is great to meet all the people you talk with online, as I have said before I wont be going this year, but I am sure that I know a couple that are going, I suppose OZ will be lurking around somewhere.

Hurricane will no doubt impress me again with the amount of rides he does and the number of times he rides them; unbelievable! Check out last year's reviews to see what I mean. I usually do about five or six rides each show visit but that's only if I have a totally free day. Otherwise I have to tone things down because I'm utterly wacked after a day at the show.

Three months to go and counting you lucky buggers! :)

LOL! Cheers for that ben ;)

But my stomach / head agree with the amount of rides I do in one day... but I don't think my Bank Account / Wallet agree...

You are getting in early there Josh.

I will be going to the Ekka again this year. Cant break tradition. It is a bit early to say when at this stage, as I may be working there too.

If anyone is making the treck up, let us know if you want to go theme parking too. We can make an AAF event of it.

Nice to hear from you again Matty; we miss your contributions! Perhaps you could do a Dream World review for us; I'd love to hear how all the rides are doing up there.

Ben, I have been observing from afar most of the time. And also trying to stop all the spam.

As per the DW review, I will be happy to after my next visit.

Princess, each year Dave tries to talk me into going down for the Sydney show. I am always close to jumping on a plane, but its an extremely busy time for me at work and it tends to win over good times.

I am always up for a theme park visit or going to the Ekka. Still trying to find someone to outride me. Daniel came close a few years back, but ran out of money.

Yeah Matty you won't be disappointed when you do finally make it down to the Sydney RES; it's awesome!

Thanks for deleting the spam; it's difficult to keep these people out!

Well sounds like we are going to get a crowd together. Dont disappointing me now people and not end up showing up.

Dan, both my DW and MW annual passes have just expired. I am still thinking on whether or not I should renew only one or both of them. And buddy, I will hold you to that outridding promise.

I hope we have a good variety of rides this year. Looking forward to No Limit, Space Roller, Zipper and Speed. Bring it on!!!

I know for sure Skywalker is coming to Ekka, probably instead of Insanity after last year's disastrous appearance although you never know, it just may turn up too!

It'll be interesting to see whether Ekka have an unlimited rides offer like the RES and Canberra do. The RES unlimited rides session went for four hours and cost $30.00 which was excellent value considering Speed and No Limit were included. The only exclusion was the Slingshot I think.
