Campbelltown Fisher's Ghost Festival (More photos added)
The Festival of Fisher's Ghost is coming up and starts next weekend. The event is based in Campbelltown and again will feature the carnival at Bradbury Oval. The carnival area has been contracted to a new company this year with Better Amusement Hire - Joylands taking over that management role. They will puting on a massive carnival with new rides which have never been featured at the festival.
Here's the operating hours for the carnival:
Friday (30 Oct and 6 Nov): 6pm to 10.30pm
Saturday (31 Oct and 7 Nov): 2pm to 10.30pm
Sundays (1 and 8 Nov): 2pm to 9.30pm
And the lineup is a big one with Joyland's supplying some of their own gear along with a number of other big companies. Anyway the lineup for this year is:
Pirate's Revenge
Power Surge
Sling Shot
Insanity
Gravitron
Ghost Pirates
Flashdance
Para Trooper
Ali Baba
Wave Swinger
Cyber Party
Techno Jump
Sea Circus
Ferris Wheel
Giant Slide
Dodgem Track
Rockin' Tug
Kids Rides
Inflatables
Games
Food Canteens
Great lineup, I'm going to try and get to the event on the second weekend. Hopefully it's going to be a great event.
Cheers

Good lineup and thanks for that info top gunner, I thought that Sea Circus would be doing the Vic Shows with Hard Rock?
Re: Campbelltown Fisher's Ghost Festival
Far out! That is a MASSIVE lineup compared to Last Year! Glad to see that Cyber Party will be returning there again this year. I just wish I was working there now!

Re: Campbelltown Fisher's Ghost Festival
sounds like a ripper of an event. From past photos I've seen, it's always been a good one. For free admission, with that lineup it's got to be better value than a capital show amusement area.

Yeh hopefully I'll get there and I'll definately get photos. Hopefully the second weekend that the carnival is opened. Joyland's are managing the event and they have gone right out, and will hopefully have a really busy event if not this year, but in the coming years.
Also Pirate's Revenge is already down at Campbelltown getting set-up.

Re: Campbelltown Fisher's Ghost Festival
Had a chance to get down to Campbelltown today and setup was well underway for the Fisher's Ghost Carnival. Some gear had arrived with Pirate's Revenge already fully setup along with Chant's Wheel and Watkin's Super Trooper. Sea Circus had just arrived with a worker there leveling and stabalising the ride to be setup. Other gear that was there included a Giant Slide, Phillip Durkin's Sling Shot and Insanity and Young's Twister. Only had my phone so pictures aren't the best.
Insanity:
Sling Shot:
Pirate's Revenge:
Sea Circus:
Twister:
Super Trooper:
Ferris Wheel:
Pirate's Revenge and Ferris Wheel:
Joyland's Rockin' Tug and I think maybe the Power Surge will arrive tonight. Then everything else will come up from Victoria or Lismore.
Cheers

funny how small Pirate's looks when it's in an open space like that, it looked huge in Sydney!

Haha yeh its good, does the job, I wasn't planning on going down there so that's why I didn't have my camera. It's a 3mp camera on my Nokia 6500 slide phone. Thanks for the comments on the photos everyone
Re: Campbelltown Fisher's Ghost Festival (Setup photos added)
OK, i went out to the carnival last night(saturday) and went back again this afternoon.
It was absolutely packed last night, you could hardly move around the place, all rides looked to be running full loads (and huge lines)just about all the time i was there. If this good weather keeps up till next weekend it'll be really good for the operators.
Got a heap of photos both visits, unfortunately the night photos haven't come out real good (i only got the camera saturday morning) but the day time shots are not too bad.
No review guys, i'll leave that for Topgunner when he visits next weekend , i had the first ride on Powersurge this afternoon, good long cycle with only four of us on the ride (regardless i was happy when that arm lowered back down!!)
I'll leave at that for now, for all the people that are still to go out to Campbelltown, have a good time!

Re: Campbelltown Fisher's Ghost Festival (Photos added)
Great photos redhot, they came out great thanks for them. Good to hear you got on the PS, suprised you rode that as you didn't get on the Top Gun at Penrith Great to hear they're getting good crowds there, that's what they were definately hoping for with all the big gear down there.
Yeh I'll do my best to get down there, still not 100% but I'm definately going to make the effort on Saturday. I'll try to get some videos maybe an onride or two and a few offride videos and the usual photos. Depends on time too, will only be able to make it for 2-3 hrs.
