I wonder if No limit will make an appearance again? Last year I had the most intense ride on No Limit, it was really pulling some serious Gs.. Let's hope some surprise rides turn up this year.
Last time Dandenong had a Zipper was that same one under Witts back in about 1995. (also there that year was Rainbow, Enterprise, Pirate, Chipmunk-coaster, Super Loops (Osbourne) and Hurricane that I can remember.
most show lineups are dire now... theres not much class to them i'm afraid and its crap. Our shows used to be pretty unique, with the Huss rides, Zipper... and other classics... now it just feels like they are lacking the originality, and uniqueness
Ur right huss. Its a real shame that there aren't witts around with all there nig spectacular rides that would rule the midways. We do have some great new rides that r more modern but the classics r still great to have around.
I found it worthwhile to visit the show on Sunday (but didn't have to travel as far as you HussR) - crowds were definitely down on other years and I think this is a direct result of the decision not to show horse events which are a very major component of this show (the oval was instead used as a car park)
The weather was perfect but crowds especially thin along the rear of the midway (Zipper often running with only one loaded car)
Majors were:
Zipper
Flashdance
Mega Drop
Haunted House
Cha Cha
Dodgems x 3
Ali Baba
Chant's wheel
Octopus (Miller)
Geez,I thought Dandenong would attract a better line up.Their website promised "the latest hi-tech rides". Glad I didnt bother with the 3 hour trip.Nice pics though, and the weather looked great.
No. They were tryin 2 get it on when i was talkin 2 the operators at canberra but they cant allow it 4 some reason. To bi and noisy i'd say. And hurricane, 4 the unlimited rides pass, is it still $20
It seems No Limit hasn't been travelling lately because of the staffing issues mentioned on some other threads here. Apparently, it takes a bit of training to operate the ride so it isn't a question of hiring someone and getting them working the ride strait away. It's like that with any ride of course but apparently NL is a bit trickier. Anyone out there fancy a career change?
Uhhh... I could go with a career change and Top Gunner, as far as I am aware its still 20 dollars for the ride pass. I will say that the Ski Jump is indeed a rather odd ride, but very fun at the same time! One of the Bell's rides that hasn't been to the carnival in a few years is the Hurricane. And I also wonder if these staffing shortages are going to affect the carnival this year or not.
