Berwick Show Feb 23rd - 24th 2008

Post by Zamperla »

Went to the Berwick Show on saturday night. The weather was not the best (it did shower on and off) but there seemed to be solid crowds packed into the small space it occupies. The below rides were there:

Hurricane
Kamikaze
Dodgems x 2
Spaceroller
Tilt
Gee Whizzer (Cha Cha)
Energy Storm
Simulator
kiddies rides (Merrygoround, chairswing, Ferris wheel)
'Mostly Ghostly' walk-thru ghost train

Spaceroller was looking good, 99% of the globes were working.

Rides I rode were Hurricane, Spaceroller and Tilt - by the time I was off the tilt, I was ready to go home (the friend I went with had to stop the car in a hurry but managed to hold down the day's takings... just)

Great review as always and a good lineup for such a small show! these regional events are definitely improving with operators purchasing and refurbishing some excellent attractions.

How was Energy Storm doing? I've heard it's been looking a little run down.

Hey Dave, did ya take some pics? If ya did would love to see them. Quite a good turnout, surprised that Space Roller turned up! Whose Hurricane was there?

Funny to see how such a massive european thrill ride turns up at these small regional shows, its quite surreal!

I would most likely say it is Dragon City's hurricane. I also find it interesting that Space Roller is doing so many little shows, considering the sheer size of it. I wouldn't think it would do this many, but then again Russell must want to pay it off reasonably soon.

Yes it was Dragon City's Hurricane. It's a really good ride and also very loud. Alpine Express was there as well.

Yes I had a feeling I skipped a ride.

Hurricane was in a great spot packed in tightly in a corner with a close path beside it - quite a contrast to the week before at the St K festival. It was doing near full capcities every time I saw it.

I will post some photos shortly.
