Just looked into this proposed plan for the Rye Foreshore, and the council is indeed looking at Relocating the carnival. Nothing major, and surprisingly the same space! This could be interesting, as the boating area does need to be fixed up. Bit over waiting almost an hour to get the Jet Ski in over summer.
Here is a screen shot of the proposed NEW carnival area for Rye....I only would think its a good idea if all the rides that fit in the space currently, can fit in this new space without being congested, or the removal of some rides equaling an not so once great carnival. If this plan does go ahead, I cant see it being finished for years. The council takes forever to do anything down there!

So is the proposed new carnival area the dotted area or the green area on the left?

Highlighted green area. Was down at rye yesterday. Nothing is new or different. Don't expect to see any work done for years.
