Hey guys, I have just received a heap of photos of March's Hurricane at Inverell show. The ride has had some lighting work done to it in the past few months. Including new LED's in the center of the ride. So take a look at the photos and see what you think

Yeh looking very sleek. Looking forward to the night shots. Its a pretty modern looking hurri now with the LEDs, I don't think I've ever heard of or seen a Hurri with LEDs lol
Things like paint jobs and LED lighting may give it a modern touch..but as it's an early 70's model it will always be retro..and thats a good thing,ha ha.
I personally much prefer the Ferrari / LenMax Hurricane models to the newer Darton ones. Despite they are older they actually look more modern than the ones with the "Lego Box" cars as I like to call them. I have not actually seen the full retrofit of the lights in person yet, but I saw some of them as they were being installed at Coffs Harbour and they look great at night. March's Whizzer has also had an upgrade recently and is looking superb not to mention running at INSANE speeds that left me with bruises afterwards!
Yeh I prefer the Aussie made Hurri's better aswell rather than the Dartron models. And yeh I remeber you saying about the Whizzer. Looking forward to seeing some nightshots
Hey guys,
Seeing as this is about a hurri, the one that was on amusementz.com.au is coming to Rocky!
Looks great and can't wait to see it at a fete etc around central queensland... http://www.amusementz.com.au/Classified.asp?ID=95
Send it back to Tassie! As much as I loove Hurricane's. I'll stick with the LenMax / Ferrari ones... Unless it's the Ex Aaron Pink unit... that rattled more than my friends old Daihatsu Charade. And that thing had the gearbox fall through the floor!
If you don't mind me asking, what is it about March's Hurricane you don't like? Both times I rode Aaron Pink's model at the 2006 Gold Coast Show and 2006 Cleveland Strawberry Festival, the ride had been very jerky and rough. Shaking almost violently throughout the whole ride. It also was not in the best cosmetic condition either, but I have not seen it since 2006 so it could have improved a lot more since then. But I am just basing my opinion on my personal experiences. My overall rankings for COMBINED best appearance and ride cycle are as follows...
Marchs and Bell's tied
Youngs
Joylands
Ex Durkin. Now Phelan's
Pinks
I have not rode Dragon City's hurricane before, but that is just my opinion overall.
Bit delayed on this, but I agree it looks good. I'm so glad they have kept the globe on top! I don't think I could ever ride it again/ look at it again. I will miss the classic fluro tubes though but change is good. I wonder if they've given it a bit of a spruce up so they could bring it to the royals again along with skywalker?? It would be so awesome if it came to the ekka!! We haven't seen a hurri there since durkins sold/ stopped bring theirs.
na I don't think we'll see a Hurricane ever at a Royal capital again. They aren't going to kick off rides for an older ride. Would be good but I couldn't see it happening
