Re: New rides for 2009
Aw, comon you guys. It doesnt seem like that bad of a ride. I dont even think as bad as NoLimit. If the seats flipped when it went all the way around.. Well maybe.

Re: New rides for 2009
Probably just the feeling of being 30 metres in the air, with a small lap bar and the chair being held by chains rattling is probably the worrying part for some haha

Oh! I thought they were talking about not getting on XXXL.
Er yeah. That star flyer ride actually does look scarier than NoLimit..

Re: New rides for 2009
I rode the Zierer Star Flyer at Oktoberfest, it was very popular.
Definitely not NO LIMIT. In fact it gives less movement than waveswinger, just adds the height factor. Certainly an attention-grabber to spectators on the horizon of any fair.

I'm pretty sure Fun Time were the first with the design.
Re: New rides for 2009
The Star Flyer looks like a pretty exciting ride, and i'd ride it if i see it around.

I think they may have kicked a goal with this ride, looks great, cant wait to see it in action.
Re: New rides for 2009
Just so you know, Chant's new KMG speed is currently in Brisbane. I saw it racked at the Redcliffe showgrounds yesterday. From what I saw of it through the fence it looked alot nicer than paviers model.

Re: New rides for 2009
I think Chant's Rock N Roll Matterhorn was on the same boat as the XXXL so that is probably at the Ekka showgrounds now being setup.

Re: New rides for 2009
i rode the new kmg ride freestyle owned by chants and all i say whilst on the ride was F*** and it was such a good ride it looks bigger than speed with the paint job but it isnt but its an awesome ride.
cheers katie
Re: New rides for 2009
That really annoys me! Why did Chant's buy something we already got one of? - in my opinion speed isn't a very 'extreme' ride anyway.. Insanity and No Limit kick its' arse. Well I hope I get a chance to ride freestyler soon.
