October School Holiday Rides
Rides that will be attending Luna Park in the school holidays will be:
Power Surge
Ali Baba (Gill's)
I'd say one of Joyland's kids rides will go in to. Power Surge will pack up sunday night at Melbourne then will travel up to open at Luna Park on that Friday. Dunno where Gill's Ali Baba is at the moment but that will go in I think Tuesday the same time with the PS. I'll be heading in and will get a few videos and some photos.
Cheers

Re: October School Holiday Rides
Got into Luna Park today. Had a good day. Got a few videos I'm going to upload them. Got a heap of photos too but dunno if I'll put them up I might but only got photos of Ali Baba, Power Surge, Ranger, Spider, Tango Train and Tumble Bug. And yes the Tango Train is finally back up and running. Opened last friday and was very popular today. They've also added a photo booth to the ride, dunno how they're gonna get photos, must have a good camera with a fast shutter burst speed

Interesting about the photo booth for Tango Train. Does it look any different than it did before? Looking forwards to your vids.

I have been noticing over the last few weeks that the Big Wheel at Luna Park has had a lot more lights working, it looks pretty, when you look over the harbour to see it twinkling, well done Luna Park.

Re: October School Holiday Rides
Yeh the Tango Train had just about every light working again, guess the re-build helped with that. And I was told last holidays that the Ranger had half its lights not working. On Monday they had the lights working and just about all of them were going on the arm and centre sign. Looked good, would be better to see it all at night
Re: October School Holiday Rides
What I neglected to say was the lights on the Ferris Wheel, had more lights going.
Last night there were police cars and Fire Brigades there, hope all was ok, their lights looked good too, as long as they are not in my rear view mirror.

Yeh don't worry I know what you were saying. Which is good that it has more lights working now, because your usually saying they need to have more lights going and have it looking as good as Durkin's Skymaster

Re: October School Holiday Rides
Got to the park on Monday. Was dead in the morning but picked up in the arvo. Gill's Ali Baba was pretty popular. Tango Train opened back up again and was good to see going again. They have added a photo booth which I can't understand. Power Surge was running well and Ranger was operating faster than usual which was fun. Anyway heres some photos:
Spider:
Tango Train:
Tumble Bug:
Ali Baba:
Ranger:
Power Surge:
Just a few photos I experimented with the old sephia look:
Anyway enjoy guys...

Re: October School Holiday Rides
It looks like the maintenance crew have been busy - Troika has been re-located from its roof top spot. Ranger also looks like it's had a refurb.
All they need to do is get Boy Laurie in as a consultant to put some life back into that poor excuse of a Breakdance.

Umm no the Troika is still in the same spot. Hasn't moved from it's usual spot. Yeh the Breakdance does need to be dressed up alot more, looks perfetic. Looks way to plain, like they couldn't think of a good backflash to paint on

OK, didn't realise there was so much space up there.
Great photos by the way. I like your ranger closeup.
