Did you see how Rainbow looked in its last few years of operation under Wittingslow? OCS brought it back, better than it had looked in a decade and the fact that he still has it can only be a sign of his commitment to giving a quality piece of equipment the TLC (and knowledge) it requires. She is an inrticate machine - keep it in perspective and give credit where it's due.

Have to agree with Zamperla there, and also there are still a handful of Rainbow's operating in the world... Linnanmaki, Klinkerfuss' Millenium, Elitch Gardens, a Crazy Wagon, and Wade are planning on getting theirs back on the road.
Wittingslow only had it looking good from around 2002, the arms were painted, the cloud was re-painted/re-globed and then for 2003, the clouds on the gondola were re-painted.
O'Neills have kept it alive thankgod, I just hope it does come back better than before, because it CAN be fixed, Huss wouldn't let the ride just dissapear, they would have told people to stop operating, and not get them fixed!

Rainbow for 2011!

Are we talking about Gill Bros' Ali Baba getting on over midnight madness?? Both are great, but, If this is the case, I hardly think that Midnight 'shits on' Gill's Ali.. (As it was put in a previous post)
Or is it a different Ali?

The Ali Baba first appeared at the Easter Show when it came to Australia in 2001, came for the following year and disappeared until last year. This was the same with the Hangover.

Do we know what the "To be announced "attraction is yet?? Is it indeed a new rollercoaster as first thought?

I doubt whether a new roller coaster will make it on at this late stage although it's possible they could kick Taipan or something off at the last minute. I think the current ride list is the line-up we'll see at RES this year.

It's Garry O'Neill's new looping coaster from Italy. So 2 new rides debuting at Sydney for O'Neill's. That's what those 12 containers from Italy were.

I haven't heard anything about a new KMG ride??

The KMG Experience. That's the ride you said was coming which you posted a few months back. Don't think anyone's bought one... unless you know something we don't know?
