Went passed the showgrounds today, and must I say, well done to the RASV for putting Pirate's Revenge in the biggest joke of a spot!
Melbourne needs to give up I think.

rides I could see today:

Sky View
Tornado (which doesn't look to have been refurbed)
Roller Ghoster
Pirate's Revenge

Also a shopping village has been put where the original carnival was, good spot for when the show starts... f*cking idiots!

[quote="Top Gunner14"]Well Huss, really I think and other people I have spoken to, think it's the end of the Rainbow in Australia.

Let's hope the Rainbow goes for good. All it seems to do is sit around in a yard for 11 months of the year, it must be costing the owners a fortune in costs (insurance and rego). Flog it off to China,Mexico or somewhere and make some money while it's still worth something more than scrap value. All it is really is when you look at it is an oversized Ali Baba style ride anyway, but less portable than Ali Babas' on just one trailer and longer to set up and tear down.Good riddance I say.

Interesting to see that No Limit isn't there yet. I purchased my Ticket to Ride ticket yesterday. Can we expect any more pre show photos from you huss?

That looks like a shocker of a position the flume is. Poor Joyland's should've been placed in a spot in the middle of the showgrounds. Isn't Freestyle there too?

Yeh would love to see some more setup photos of the flume and any of the other rides

Huss do make some decent rides but putting a queer looking smiley face on a ride doesn't give it "class"!!!

If it was oh so queer, company's like A.R.M and WEBER wouldn't have copied it.... tard

yes Freestyle was there, but just parked.

Will be down at the grounds on Monday and Tuesday...

I like the face in the middle of the Rainbow. I think the overall look makes the ride look less cheap than other ali baba rides.

a HUSS ride isn't cheap.... Although expensive, they are well engineered machines.... Obviously our friend up in the North has not heard of "theming"

I didn't say that Huss rides were cheap, like I said, Huss do make some decent rides. It's just a shame the owners of the Rainbow have been too tired or tight to tour it around the country a bit more but rather have it stored away for so long. Apart from the southern states and the Ekka, (Queensland does exist north of Brisbane, although the Qld government doesn't think it does) people have not seen the Rainbow let alone had the opportunity to ride it.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from.... Wittingslow were amazing at travelling their massive HUSS rides...

Moomba, Rye, Dandenong, Lygon St, Sydney, Adelaide, Ekka... just to name a few in which Rainbow made it's presence.

We just need someone to buy it (and we do know there are several showman that want it) to give it the love it needs, and get it around to the big shows, cos it still pulls a huge crowd.

Huss did you get down to the showground today?

well, yes I did, but the dumb idiots wouldn't let me in.... just more evidence that Melbourne Show is down the sh**!

Freestyle is where Speed was in 08
Ali Baba and Hangover are in the same spots, and Breakdance is next to Roller Ghoster again... nothing different from what I could see from the gate...

Interesting that Ali Baba has turned up as it wasn't mentioned to me from the show at all. Anyways whose is it?

I'm guessing the ex-Marshall. I think it's now owned by Lynch's who own that other Fabbr Kamikaze. So same layout as last year. Are there any more rides near where the Pirate's Revenge is?

Thanks for the photos. Yeh the flume looks like it's in a pretty poor position. What's the area like where the family carnival is? Where the flume is it looks like its boxed in and hidden behind that building
