Grundys! Gold Coast

Hey all,
Just read on another thread someone mentioned Grundys, a major soft spot for me as this is where I rode my first dodgems as a kid! aaahhhh...
Anyone have any pics from that era? Or remember going there as a kid?

Now... what does that tell us all Princess?
I recently went to Funtasia / Timezone and it really IS huge. Not to mention you can now race BATHTUBS.

I practically lived in Grundy's when I was a kid! I was familiar with most of the staff and rode that indoor Tilt more times than I can count. I also remember the waterslide; it was called Typhoon or something and it was quite fast. Eventually it was demolished to make way for the indoor Cripton, now Bell's Thunderbolt and now the area contains Red Rooster I think. Another ride that I think Bell's bought from there was the Go Gator roller coaster which was another fave of mine when I was really small.

I can remember years and years ago there was a telethon at grundy's and I somehow walked pass the barricades to out in front of the cameras (wasn't watching where i was going ) I was quicky ushered out of the shot
My mates thought it was quite funny and ribbed me for ages over it
