Just wondering what the odds are of a 17 year old getting a job on a ride at the Geelong show? And if i could what would be the best way about it?

Anyone?

More than likely if you've had no experience you could be in a ticket box, or maybe on the deck of a ride. Just walk around whilst set-up is happening and ask around

And a lot of the time you may even end up in a joint for the first time... And honestly, working a joint can be incredibly fun! I spent a good 4 years working a joint and the deck of a ride... and I actually think I sometimes preferred the joint!

Joints are fun, hard work though gotta have personality

There are some showmen who read this forum they could private message you, but if it were me I would want to meet you

Not sure whether I'd have the personality but I would love to work a joint and reckon I could do it. Taking tickets is also possible but operating a ride, not for me... I'll stick to being a passenger I think!

I am planning to arrive into sydney in late Febuary to live, and hopefully to work at the Royal Easter Show...

I have plenty of experience as a ride operator...been told i have the voice for one the rides over east

tpa owner is tas pickett stand name of tpa is tasman pickett amusements

if you haven't already contacted them you could google TPA or ask someone in the guild

Thanks, i called him but he didn't need anyone for the show.

Did u try Cetek amusements they had work to late now but as show started today they were after staff

No i didn't. bit unlucky, maybe next time. What gear do they own at the show?
