A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
I remember seeing it as a kid at the Canberra show. Think this was around 97 as I was in kindergarten then. Never rode it either. Same for the Turbo in 2003

Maybe a Huss Top Spin to replace Spin Dragon.
Or, a 'Saturn 6'!

wittingslow did originally want a HUSS TOPSPIN, but the main load is too heavy for our Australian Roads (like the U.S where Strates transport theirs by train), shame they didn't get a TOP SPIN 2... Who knows we might have still seen wittingslow travelling their big name rides

How 'bout a KMG Mission Space?! That's one of the biggest, mobile amusement rides I've ever seen!

Looks like a one off ride in my opinion

Mission Space looks a bit ridiculous, the on-ride video looks terribly boring.... it probably will be a one off creation

Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
Mission Space consists of 4 semi trailers. 2 of them act as boarding platforms & stabilizers, one of them acts as the bottom section and one acts as a rotating centrepiece!
Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
That Mission Space looks somewhat thrilling. It's much bigger than the Sky Flyer, I must say...

I would love to see a breakdance extreme here

They look so fun

...so pretty much Cyber Party? It's an identical model.
Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
I have never seen a video of the cyber party cycle, do you know where i can see one
Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
Here's a video that I took at Ipswich show 2011. If you have any questions about the Cyber Party i'm sure I could answer most of them
Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
Where is the video?
Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
thanks for that, so it turns out the breakdance extreme is the same model but i must say that the breakdance extreme looks and runs a lot better(more atmosphere)
You would't happen to have a picture of the breakdance under the platform hurricane because i am interested to know how the lifting arms work.

Re: A few unique rides I'd like to have in Australia
I will have a look through some pictures of the ride and see what I have. If not i'll ask my contact and go from there. The BreakDance Extreme is a slightly faster model than the Cyber Party, but very similar. Cyber Party racks onto a 40ft trailer and a truck for all the lights, backdrops etc. I would assume that BD Extreme would rack onto 3 or 4 loads in total.
EDIT: Ask and you shall receive...
As seen in this picture you can see the purple arm that the gondolas are attached to, where the large crack is seen is where the arm is split in half (left hand side lifts while right remains level.) There is a round disk looking part on the top of the crack that is hinged and there are 2 hydraulic's that link the 2 parts together that raise to around a 40 degree angle for the lifting motion. You can see them very faintly at the bottom of the picture in green and is seen better in the 2nd and 3rd picture below...

i think the whole lifting arm thing is such a terrible novelty to a classic ride that never needed anything like that...

I agree Huss, I actually find it loses its action when it raises, much better just as a break dance
