Technical Park-TRASFORM YOUR STREET FIGHTER TO REVOLUTION!
Technical park just recently introduced this new upgrade to existing Street Fighter rides to have them transformed to a full 360 degrees swinging pendulem ride. The structure of the ride is kept the same except but is instead transformed to do 360 degree swings. Take a look:

Looks pretty good IMO, I'm guessing to compete along with the success of Mondial's Jetforce and KMG's Inversion. Our Hard Rock is already an amazing ride but would be interesting to see a full loop would be like on the ride. I'd rather it kept the same but I couldn't see Johnson's doing the upgrade.
Cheers

Very interesting info TG. Technical Park is quite innovative offering this. The counterweight would slow the swing of the ride considerably. I can't say for sure without riding, but I'd be willing to bet that I'd prefer the way it is versus this new modification.

Yeh definately, the swing of the arm would be slowed down. The speed it goes at the moment is pretty quick and if it had the modification, the swing would be faster, so yeh like you said, the counterweight would slow the swing down

Re: Technical Park-TRASFORM YOUR STREET FIGHTER TO REVOLUTION!
I wonder if the design of the restraints would need to be changed for this to be safe? I know the current restraint design would probably still be safe work, but I can't imagine being held upsidedown with those restraints for some reason. The design works well and allows the rider to float a little out of the seat (well at least I do).
The best part about riding Hard Rock is the speed at which the arm currently swings and swoops. To me it even feels like you are upsidedown sometimes when it swings to it's highest point. Still is an interesting option to have though. Thanks for posting this info.

I agree, it does feel like you are upside down, I say feel cause I had my eyes shut.

I think I would have a heart attack if they coverted this. I already push against the restraints hard enough as it is.

Yeh I'd say the restraints would have a bit of modification work done too. Yeh I lift out of my seat on the Hard Rock too, great sensation, bit like what happens on a Miami Trip

Yeh I heard someone's Speed might be going to Perth. I thought it was going to be Freestyle as Goldenway's Speed usually does Melbourne. But that looks like it has changed with Freestyle now on Melbourne
Re: Technical Park-TRASFORM YOUR STREET FIGHTER TO REVOLUTION!
can confirm its going to perth.Yes can confirm, XXXL is booked in to do the shep show this year as well as other large victorian shows, ballarat, geelong, and only few others. At this stage, Speed ride may not be, could be going to perth royal after adelaide and working over there. Will keep you posted. goldenways has not been accepted as yet. is talk tho, they are trying to get in to the contracted shows.

Interesting to hear that Hard Rock was at Shepp but got chucked off, interesting. Good to see that XXXL will be getting around! Do you have any other inside info on other rides attending shows?

Debuted at Pine Rivers show in Qld last weekend. I've seen photos of the actual unit but don't have any myself. Will have some at the end of the month
