the countdown until the 2012 Melbourne show has started only 84 days to go.
I can't wait to be honest, looking forward to getting back on the techno jump after 1 long year. It definitely is my favourite ride.
the rides list is set to be up on the website in August, anyone think we might see some new rides this year?

I can't wait to ride XXXL again! Also I miss Rock & Roll and Extreme! And this year I HAVE TO DO FREESTYLE AND/OR NO LIMIT!!! Start saving my money and then I will have a field day yay! Hopefully I will get to meet some of you guys. And I don't think we will get any new rides and to be bluntly honest I don't really care if it's the same ride line-up as last year because it was awesome!
I am a ride operators dream or nightmare...you decide.
OMG the Taipan is returning! It's been waaay too long ever since I last rode it. I know it's just a Galaxi Coaster but it looks awesome! I wish it could come back to Rye where it belongs

XXXL Did fairly well attracting the crowds at the 2010 Perth Royal Show, however last year Bell's Thunderbolt sure pulled more crowds from the Rage...fingers cross it comes over...
Bring on RES 2014....First major capital easter show since moving to NSW in June 2013
I've just had a look at the opening and closing hours and it says all the carnival areas close at 7:30pm .. that's quite odd as the show closes at 9:30pm.

It does seem odd. But I can understand why. I guess they are just trying to get more people into the Coca-Cola Arena and closing the Carnivals at 7.30pm is an incentive to either sit around watching some crappy 'entertainment' or to go home!

I can't imagine the showies would be happy with this arrangement. There's nothing I like more than checking out the carnival at night after the fireworks or even while they're on. I think this is a bad thing for Melbourne Show.

...you and most people. That is often when sideshow alley gets its busiest...from about 8pm - 10pm when the ekka closes the area, most of the rides are full loading or at least half loading...I can see the showmen losing out lots of money from this arrangement. I would almost want to set up another carnival to compete sort of like what they have done in Brisbane...and they are always successful...
I know this is HIGHLY UNLIKELY! But I'd really love to see a HUSS Rainbow, Chance Zipper or Turbo back at the RMS! Does anyone know what's going on with the 2 Rainbows or Turbos?
